 reports, 1d 10h agoDaily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Competition... that's for sure. Looking around the net, tons of people are making Samus costumes this year. There have already been 3 people asking me how I made my helmet... cause they were working on costumes. So if you're looking for tips, feel free to ask.

In terms of sculpting and casting, I was planning on doing the whole thing with vacuuformed polystyrene, but now I'm thinking rotocasting urethane might be easier (at least for the parts other than the helmet that aren't going to have electronics in them). Vacuuforming or casting, that is the question...

I'm going to have to make a cooling system for the helmet and maybe the upper torso. I've got ideas for it but won't know for sure until I start making the armor.
